These lovebirds were two of the first people I met when Matt moved to the East Coast (over four years ago!) and quickly became integral members of our Norfolk family. Can’t wait to have them closer (Annapolis, here they come!), and can’t wait to watch them tie the knot in September.
Also, their dog Quinn is the cutest pup of all the pups.
welp, these two are the cutest. transportation experts by trade, i met devon and nick through a colleague at the senate. together with their absurdly adorable dog, trucker, we braved the elements on a chilly saturday afternoon at union station in washington, dc. this shoot was so. much. fun. and i can’t wait for their wedding in september!
as i sat down to write this, i found it was much more difficult than i expected to put my feelings about january 10, 2015 into words. beth came into my life the moment i arrived in d.c. two years ago, and i truly can’t imagine what my time here would have been like without her. she is one of those once-in-a-lifetime (but lifelong) friends that has changed me for the better, irrevocably.
sitting a few inches away from her at the office, every day, i had the supreme privilege of watching her love story from the very start. she and dan, her husband (!!), have the sweetest love, and the happiness i feel about the two of them having found each other goes deep down into my bones.
i would have been over the moon to simply watch them tie the knot (in puerto vallarta, mexico, no less!), but beth gave me the huge honor and opportunity to photograph their wedding, my very first. the experience falls into the top five of my entire life, and it is a day i will never forget.
beth’s nieces and nephews were the cutest. drew expressing himself during the rehearsal was one of my favorite moments of the whole weekend.
the beautiful bride and groom.
beth and her best friend, mel, are the most hilarious pair of besties ever. i am obsessed with their dear relationship.
another favorite moment: the eminem rap-along between beth and stephanie, another dear friend. too good.
dad’s (truly appropriate) reaction to his beautiful daughter on her wedding day!
