If you can believe it, these two are real, normal, everyday humans, and not paid supermodels. They also happen to be kind and brilliant, too. And, they are some of my nearest and dearest friends!
Brittni, Brian, and their sweet pup George invited me to spend an evening with them in Discovery Park in my beloved hometown of Seattle and there’s hardly another way I’d prefer to spend my time. Looking forward to celebrating their love in the fall.
Molly and Nick’s love story is one that I was lucky enough to watch unfold firsthand back during the dog days of the 2012 election in Seattle. Four years later, we met on the ferry for some Saturday morning blue hour and braved the elements together. They were enthusiastic, up for anything, and of course, in love, which makes for a truly wonderful subject.
Hard to put into words how much these two guys mean to me. They took me in as one of their own when I first moved to D.C. and taught me how to navigate this place. The three of us led a blissful, Three’s Company-style existence for several years, filled with Oreos and High School Musical marathons and political discourse and all the laughter. They were some of the first I called when Matt proposed and moving out of our shared apartment was one of the most bittersweet days of my life.
When I learned of their engagement, I literally woke up a sleeping Matt with my squeals of delight and joy. And it all got even sweeter when they invited me to visit the place where they fell in love, Vassar College in upstate New York, to make some pictures.
“What the world needs now is love, sweet love…”
These are truly two of my favorite people in the whole wide world, and I can’t say much more than that. counting down to September 2017 when these two make it official.
I was lucky enough to capture the moment they got engaged, too — a lifelong dream!
